It is a tough time for truth in the world.
The New York Times has just run an “opinion piece” with the lie that Israel has trained its dogs to rape Palestinian prisoners. This is fake news and it is very, very dangerous.
We talk more about it in our Substack here but as journalists we need to point out that there are so many red flags in the piece - bad sourcing and no independent evidence at all.
And then, as we recorded this week’s podcast on Monday, we realized that it was the day when the OCTOBER 7 play was supposed to be on in Dublin.
However, as you know, the National Concert Hall cancelled the booking. It seems there is no room for truth in the New York Times or Ireland these days.
A LETTER FROM AMERICA
As immigrants, we know the perils of writing letters home - they can’t be too downbeat but they can’t be too exaggerated. But don’t journalists have the same responsibility?
