BREAKING: Fauci Aide Charged with Covering Up Covid Lab Leak Info
They lied about Covid and now finally they are facing the consequences of their lies
They destroyed lives, businesses and childhoods but didn’t think you deserved the truth. And they made money out of it!
Federal prosecutors have just unsealed an indictment charging Dr. David Morens, 78, a longtime senior scientific advisor to Dr. Anthony Fauci at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), with conspiracy against the United States and multiple counts of destroying, concealing, and falsifying federal records.
The charges stem from an alleged years-long effort to evade Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests and hide communications related to the origins of COVID-19, including efforts to counter the lab-leak theory and restore federal funding to a controversial Wuhan-linked research project.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Maryland, Morens conspired with at least two unnamed co-conspirators during the height of the pandemic to move sensitive discussions off official government email systems and onto his personal Gmail account.
Anthony Fauci was pardoned “in advance” by outgoing President Joe Biden the day before his presidency ended on Jan 20th, 2025. It’s not immediately clear if he was one of the alleged co-conspirators.
The scheme allegedly began after the National Institutes of Health (NIH) terminated a multimillion-dollar grant titled “Understanding the Risk of Bat Coronavirus Emergence.”
The grant, awarded to a U.S.-based nonprofit (identified in related congressional probes as EcoHealth Alliance), included a subaward to the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) in China—the very lab at the center of the lab-leak hypothesis.
Prosecutors allege Morens and his co-conspirators pledged to help the grant recipient “restore the termination” and “counter the narrative that COVID-19 leaked from a lab.”
In writing, they agreed to use private email specifically “in anticipation that their communications would be requested through a FOIA Request,” the indictment states.
The hidden exchanges reportedly included non-public NIH information, edits to letters lobbying agency leadership, and “back-channel” updates to senior NIAID officials—including briefings that reached the White House, Congress, and the public.
The indictment further accuses Morens of accepting illegal gratuities, including bottles of wine delivered to his Maryland home as thanks for “behind-the-scenes shenanigans.”
Yes that is the actual phrase that was used!
In return, he allegedly produced a scientific commentary advocating that COVID-19 had a natural origin - when all the signs pointed to a lab leak origin.
Prosecutors say additional perks—meals at Michelin-starred restaurants in Paris, New York, and Washington, D.C.—were discussed. But of course!! Ethics are for the little people.
Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche called the case “a profound abuse of trust at a time when the American people needed it most—during the height of a global pandemic.”
He added: “Dr. Morens and his co-conspirators deliberately concealed information and falsified records in an effort to suppress alternative theories regarding the origins of COVID-19.”
FBI Director Kash Patel vowed that “circumventing records protocols with the intention of avoiding transparency… will not be tolerated.”
Morens served as Fauci’s senior advisor from 2006 until 2022, counseling top NIAID leadership on infectious-disease policy and helping shape the agency’s public messaging on the pandemic.
The charges do not name Fauci or accuse him of wrongdoing, but the case is expected to intensify congressional and public scrutiny of how senior health officials handled early questions about the virus’s origins.
House investigators previously obtained emails showing Morens boasting about “making emails disappear” and using personal accounts to shield correspondence from FOIA.
If convicted, Morens faces up to five years in prison on the conspiracy count, 20 years per count of record falsification, and three years per count of concealment.
The development marks the first criminal charges tied directly to alleged efforts to obscure the scientific debate over whether COVID-19 emerged from a natural spillover or a laboratory accident in Wuhan.
At the time lab leak claims were dismissed as conspiracy theories and racist despite obvious indicators that it was a real possibility. We will be following this story all the way.

Phelim, please differentiate between the utterly necessary investigation into the origin of a highly contagious virus from a commensal virus in a bat population dwelling far from the initial outbreak of the epidemic which became universal, a pandemic, and the investigation into the people and processes leading up to its creation AND the utterly necessary retrospective examination of the diverse responses to the pandemic of a virus which has the power to kill humans and is as contagious as measles virus, a property which was not discovered very quickly.
Fauci belongs in prison.
