What happened when someone actually challenged “An Inconvenient Truth?”

Normally, we record the podcast on Monday, but as this Monday was Memorial Day, we decided to take the day off to commemorate this special day (and welcome the first day of summer).

Did you know this is the 20th anniversary of the release of Al Gore’s climate alarmist, so-called documentary “An Inconvenient Truth”?

To mark the occasion, I thought I’d repost the time I was present when Al Gore actually took some questions. It was at the annual meeting of the Society for Environmental Journalists.

Gore thought he would be among friends, and he mostly was… apart from me.

Look at him squirm and fail to answer questions about the nine significant errors that a High Court Judge found in his so-called documentary.

But the most significant part of this exchange is the fact that when the Society for Environmental Journalists saw that he was struggling and under pressure, their instinct was to protect the powerful, former Vice President Al Gore.

They actually cut my mic mid-question.

And journalists wonder why the mainstream media is in tatters and why everybody’s losing jobs and companies are going bankrupt.

And as a palate cleanser - here’s me trying to get him to answer some questions at the Copenhagen climate conference.

Boy, can Al Gore run! (In fairness, these were pre-Ozempic days - for both of us. Have you ever noticed how close the word Ozempic is to Olympic?).

Anyway, enough of my musings.

In other news we have been very busy on social media.

It is a re-enactment of the judge’s remarks about Muslim men who have been abusing young girls in the UK, as the government and police looked away or allowed them to continue because intervening might have been seen as racist.
